The team consists of veteran Site Reliability and DevOps engineers. As the Software Product Manager for the team, you will identify and prioritize the most important problems to solve for your customers, collaborate with the team to deliver solutions, and measure outcomes. This role is based out of Austin, TX or Palo Alto, CA. What to Expect The Design Technology Platform team is focused primarily on the needs of software product teams developing Tesla's PLM/CAD software platform, used by design engineers at Tesla to develop our consumer products. Our software product teams need automated solutions that eliminate toil for provisioning of environments, software deployment, testing, and code promotion. This role is based out of Austin, TX or Palo Alto, CA. What You’ll Do
Discover and prioritize the most important problems to solve through a deep understanding of your customers and their needs Define metrics for measuring business impact and use them to make data-driven prioritization decisions Define and socialize product vision, strategy, and an outcome-based roadmap, in alignment with those of the platform product teams Prepare actionable epics, stories, and bugs and collaborate with the Technical Lead on maintaining a prioritized backlog for the team, balancing business outcomes with tasks that enable the team to reliably deliver customer value at a sustainable pace Validate that delivered solutions solve intended business objectives by applying predefined measures Coordinate release of software, including release notes, documentation, training, and internal marketing, in the context of platform operations What You’ll Bring
Experience delivering highly technical software products Experience using Agile methodologies to collaborate directly with a software engineering team Strong focus on user-centered design and measurable outcomes Experience delivering products for software engineers Familiarity with Site Reliability best practices Experience operating large scale software products as a service with user-centered production metrics Experience delivering outcomes using large commercial software platforms and managing vendor interactions Experience with PLM/CAD software products, such as Dassault Systemes' 3DExperience, Catia, Enovia, etc. Experience delivering products that run on Kubernetes Compensation and Benefits

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
