The Marketing Manager is detail-oriented with a strategic mindset and excellent decision maker, delivering high quality results to increase brand awareness and donor engagement. The position should be a strong relationship builder with the ability to work with all stakeholders from technical experts to brand influencers. This role also has a keen eye for data, with a demonstrated ability to build strong data capture mechanisms, routine analysis capabilities, and make decisions as a result. The Marketing Manager will spearhead the marketing team’s data dashboard and establish mechanisms for routine review and be able to provide detailed technical information in a clear, simple way that leads to action and demonstrably increased success. They must stay abreast of marketing best practices and innovations in the field, and routinely bring new ideas to the table for marketing efforts.
ResponsibilitiesMarketing
Supervise the Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Associate
Lead the creation and execution of strategic campaigns, including strategic use of stories, videos, social media, photography, infographics, and interactive content to drive engagement among existing and new audiences and build new leads for our marketing funnel
Provide marketing expertise for developing and furthering the department’s strategic vision, especially as it relates to brand awareness and fundraising
Analyze and contribute significantly to external messaging, and ensure content is on-brand and high quality for the intended audience, as well as following our strategic content calendar
Support our global team with best marketing and communications practices
Identify opportunities and work with our development team to execute digital partnerships with potential brand partners
Identify opportunities to build Jhpiego’s influencer capabilities and work collaboratively within the GECO team to identify and onboard influencers who can help extend our brand awareness and bring in new audiences
Provide supervision for our social media efforts and general digital communications efforts for campaigns, especially on paid advertising campaigns
Proactively develop innovative ideas and fresh strategies for our digital channels, including social, blog, website and email, to increase engagement and brand recognition
Evaluate new technologies and innovations to improve and optimize marketing team performance
Campaign Execution & Project Management
Oversee the dissemination across digital channels of long-term integrated campaigns, working with colleagues across the organization to ensure deadline-driven, multichannel campaign success
Negotiate with stakeholders across the organization to manage competing projects and requests across the organization, right-sizing projects based on marketing strategies and our content calendar
Work with the Director of Brand and Marketing to support, execute and improve processes for marketing efforts
Data Strategy
Maintain the department’s digital analytics dashboard and lead routine reviews to make strategic decisions based on successes and failures, especially at the campaign level
Benchmark, analyze and provide robust insight into ROI of paid advertising campaigns, including helping senior leaders understand the long-term value of the marketing funnel
Perform market research and data analysis on an ongoing basis and specifically for key marketing campaigns
Analyze and provide actionable insights on our key audiences for the department
Work with the web team to analyze search traffic and help direct communications colleagues on appropriate SEO strategies for content
Supervision
Provides coaching, guidance and mentorship to direct report(s) where needed
Sets targets and objectives for assigned area and delivers results
Grows team expertise to align with program and organizational direction while continually looking for ways to provide / enhance the value delivered
Tracks, monitors and effectively addresses and / or rewards performance of team members
Manages employees in compliance with all HR policies, procedures, guidelines
Shares knowledge, information, skills and subject matter expertise among the team and ensures the timely communication of issues while encouraging good working relationships with other functions / teams
Recruits for all hires to ensure a highly diverse, qualified workforce with the necessary capabilities needed to achieve goals
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Arts in Marketing or related with 5-7 years of experince
Strong leadership skills and at least 2 years’ experience managing other full-time staff as well as contractors/vendors
A successful record of envisioning, developing and implementing effective and comprehensive long-term marketing campaigns a robust marketing background, either at an agency or a complex international organization, diligent
Ability to write and edit quickly and clearly for both general and technical audiences across a full range of communications products
Success elevating the profile of a brand
Nuanced understanding of digital marketing channels and experience executing across social media, web and email
Experience developing and implementing marketing strategies for large, diverse, international organizations
Ability to foster an inclusive, collaborative team in a multicultural environment
Proven ability to monitor trends that impact an organization’s strategic vision
Demonstrated ability to translate complex information into compelling communications for a general audience
Excellent proofreading and editing skills and a thorough understanding of multimedia design principles
Familiarity using metrics and data to evaluate and inform campaign execution
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
Master of Arts in Marketing with 7+ years
The salary range for this role is expected to be: $78,814 - $105,086.

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
