$30/hour Contract Length:
3 months, with potential extension up to 2 years Overview: A leading professional haircare brand in the U.S. is seeking a Social Media Community Manager with hairstylist experience to authentically represent and engage our professional audience across digital platforms. This role combines community management, content creation, analytics, and social listening to amplify the client’s digital presence and foster meaningful connections with our pro community. Key Responsibilities: Community Management: Engage daily with followers across professional digital channels (comments, DMs, mentions) to foster a strong, authentic brand voice and provide timely, informative responses. Content Creation: Develop short-form content aligned with brand strategy to support product launches, education initiatives, and salon culture storytelling. Social Listening & Insights: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and brand sentiment. Provide weekly insights and performance reports to internal teams to guide social strategy. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with brand, digital, education, and creative teams to align messaging, support key campaigns, and enhance community initiatives. Required Experience: 1+ year of professional experience in social media community management Content creation skills (especially for Instagram, TikTok, Reels, Stories) Comfort with social analytics tools and ability to translate data into insights Hairstylist license and/or hands-on experience in the salon industry (required for brand authenticity) Strong written communication and brand voice adaptability Highly organized with keen attention to detail Proactive in suggesting new ideas, responding to community needs, and identifying trends Team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Seniority level
