- This position requires monthly in-person availability in Syracuse to support board meetings and events.
What You’ll Do:
Administrative Support- Support the Secretary in general office duties: managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and organizing files.
- Assist in coordinating board and committee meetings: preparing agendas, taking minutes, distributing materials, and tracking tasks.
- Help plan and coordinate event logistics, including venue coordination, RSVPs, and materials prep.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries, directing them to the appropriate staff or board members.
- Manage office supplies and handle office management tasks.
- Work with the Marketing Director to develop and execute a social media content calendar that promotes the organization’s mission, programs, and events.
- Create, schedule, and post engaging content across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn while ensuring brand consistency.
- Monitor and engage with comments and messages, tagging members as needed.
- Track and report on social media performance to refine strategy.
- Collaborate with board members and volunteers to gather photos, videos, and stories for social content.
- Assist with newsletters, email campaigns, and website updates.
What You’ll Bring:

- A knack for social media —you understand engagement strategies and love crafting compelling content.
- Strong attention to detail and organization —keeping things running smoothly is your superpower.
- Tech-savvy —comfortable with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, and social media scheduling tools.
- Experience in an administrative role (2+ years) , preferably in a non-profit, community organization, or membership-based setting.
- Experience managing social media platforms for an organization or business.
- Flexibility to work afternoons/evenings , including in-person on the first Wednesday of every month (3:30 PM - 7 PM).
- Location: Syracuse, NY (Hybrid—remote with monthly in-person meetings/events).
- Compensation: Competitive $20 - $25 hourly rate based on experience.
- Commitment: Part-time, daytime and evening hours vary based on event and organizational needs. An estimated 15 - 20 hours a month.
