What You'll Do
- Report to the Director of Research in The Inquirer's Data & Insights team
- Participate in research and product design team rituals
- Lead and assist with research that could span a multitude of methodologies, including competitive analysis, case studies, focus groups, user interviews, surveys, usability testing, card sorting and user journey mapping
- Use tools including Jira, Asana, UserTesting, SurveyMonkey, Figma and Canva
- Share your findings and recommendations with internal Inquirer stakeholders and members of the Data & Insights and product, design and engineering teams
Who We're Looking For
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree, or UX Research Boot Camp Certification
- Has strong communication, creative problem-solving, and collaborative skills
- Has a belief in the value of local journalism and a desire to support The Inquirer's mission to be the indispensable source of local news and information serving the diverse communities of the Philadelphia region
- Has a passion for identifying and meeting user needs through design
- Has a familiarity with UX research and design software or is eager to learn
- Contribute to an inclusive and positive work environment
