Disney Entertainment Television is seeking an Executive Assistant to support the Executive Vice President of Communications. Responsibilities for the role include heavy scheduling, arranging travel, preparing meeting prep and the ability to anticipate the needs of the executive and the office. The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, has a strong work ethic, is passionate about television and communications and is excited to grow within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the EVP's calendar, scheduling meetings, calls, and appointments, ensuring optimal time management and appropriate built in prep time
- Coordinate executive travel arrangements and create detailed travel itineraries
- Proactively monitor and manage meeting attendance and compile agendas and briefing documents as needed for weekly meetings
- Support the EVP in meetings by taking detailed notes and keeping track of action items
- Develop a solid understanding of key leadership roles across the company and be a strong point of contact for the broader communications organization
- Work closely and have regular communication with senior DET executives and their offices
- Provide executive support at company events including premieres, presentations, and conventions
- Help brainstorm communications strategies and contribute ideas to creative discussions
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience in an administrative role with a solid grasp of the entertainment industry
- Passion for communications and the entertainment industry, understands the landscape and is excited about helping to craft narratives and brainstorm big ideas
- Ability to anticipate the needs of the EVP and remain flexible amidst shifting priorities
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously without getting overwhelmed
- A team player with a positive and collaborative attitude who can maintain composure during stressful and fast-paced situations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with scheduling and collaboration tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting a VP or above preferred
Required Education:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
