About the Role & Team:
TheSenior Manager, Imagineering Communications will lead the strategy, development, and execution of executive and organizational communications that inform, connect, and engage Imagineers around the globe.
In this role, you’ll serve as atrusted strategic advisor to senior executives , shaping high-impact narratives that reflect Imagineering’s creativity, innovation, and culture. You’ll oversee a team of communications professionals, guiding their work, fostering collaboration, and ensuring alignment with broader Disney Experiences priorities.
This position requires a leader who can see the big picture while managing the details—someone equally skilled at setting a vision, providing strategic counsel, and ensuring flawless execution of communications that reach diverse audiences.Exceptional creative and strategic writing skills are essential , as this role demands the ability to translate concepts into clear, compelling messages that resonate at every level of the organization.
What You Will Do:
As theSenior Manager, Communications , you will:
- Serve asa key communications partner to Imagineering executives, advising on messaging, positioning, and delivery for internal and external engagements.
- Oversee the development and execution of strategic communication plans that support key business initiatives internally and externally
- Direct the creation of executive speeches, talking points, and presentations that align with Imagineering’s brand and voice.
- Oversee high-profile communication initiatives, including leadership town halls, coffee chats, and internal/external engagements
- Manage the editorial calendar, proactively identifying opportunities for executive visibility and impactful storytelling.
- Ensure all communications meet quality, accuracy, and brand standards, and are reviewed for compliance with legal and corporate guidelines.
- Analyze metrics and feedback to assess communication effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Represent the Communications team in senior leadership meetings, ensuring communication strategies are integrated into planning from the outset.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
8+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or related field, including:
- Expert-Level Creative Writing & Storytelling: Proven ability to craft strategic, compelling, and original content—including executive speeches, scripts, and organizational messaging—with flawless grammar, clarity, creativity, and brand alignment.
- Team Leadership: Experience leading and motivating a communications team, setting clear priorities, and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
- Executive-Level Experience: Demonstrated success working directly with senior leadership to develop and deliver high-impact communications.
- Strategic Thinking & Execution: Ability to design and implement long-term communication strategies that advance organizational goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Skilled at influencing and building consensus across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Operational Excellence: Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills with attention to detail and quality.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with enterprise platforms; experience with creative tools and multimedia production workflows preferred.
- Professionalism & Presence: Ability to represent Imagineering in high-profile and executive settings with confidence, discretion, and cultural awareness.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or equivalent work experience.

The hiring range for this position in California is $137,200 to $183,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
