Job Description: The Washington Post seeks a talented, versatile photojournalist to join our award-winning team. The ideal candidate will develop visual assignments across various subjects—from politics to lifestyle—with a compelling visual voice and storytelling passion. Applicants should have at least three years of newsroom experience, excellent news judgment, and superior visual storytelling skills. The role requires proficiency in still photography, video, and written reporting, capable of creating immersive narratives across platforms. The candidate should be innovative, technically skilled, and able to enhance our journalism. Responsibilities include: Producing top-tier photojournalism on deadline across diverse topics. Researching, developing, and executing new visual journalism concepts. Creating immersive narratives for multiple platforms, including social media. Preferred qualifications: Minimum of 3 years professional photojournalism experience. Strong visual storytelling skills and a nuanced photographic eye. Enthusiasm for innovation in visual journalism. Excellent news judgment, quick adaptability, and proficiency with Adobe products and Photo Mechanic; video skills are a plus.
