Overview
We are Skyward.
That is, a love for people, for improvement, for human advancement through information technology. We are a people-centered business with a desire to serve others. We are diverse and unified; creative and collaborative; a collection of complementary, not competing talents. And though on the surface we remain relaxed, beneath, a torrent of energy links us to our civic tech mission.
We stand by our values, and we won't compromise on any of them.
Integrity
We're conscientious, intentional, and empathetic. Our words and actions align. That's our character. Please don't ask us to play another part, we're poor actors.
Compassionate
If we may borrow a quote from Theodore Roosevelt: "No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care." Because our team is thoughtful and supportive, caring deeply for each other, our clients, and our work, this comes naturally.
Inquisitive
We remain students by failing openly and turning lessons into solutions.
Unconventional
For us, life isn't what happens outside of work. Work happens inside of life and our culture erases the line often dividing the two.
Authentic
Made possible only because we embody the values listed above. We're relaxed and fun yet intensely curious and driven. Team members are placed with thought, care, and precision to ensure that Trust, Truth, and Transparency continue to represent our brand.
Because of that, we continue Onward, Upward, and Skyward.
Position: Graphic Designer
Are you obsessed with great design? Do you have a keen eye for aesthetics, branding, and layout? Can you translate complex ideas into clear, compelling visuals? Oh, and do you thrive under deadlines (because, let's be honest, proposals wait for no one)?
We're looking for a Graphic Designer to join our Proposal Team, helping to create polished, professional, and visually engaging graphics for government proposals. If you love turning dense information into sleek, persuasive visuals, have a knack for presentation design, infographics, and layout optimization, and want to collaborate with someone who's just a little artistic himself-then we want to hear from you!
Apply now and help us bring our proposals to life.
What you'll do:
- Be part of our Bid and Proposal team by creating visual designs that help communicate the Skyward message. This might include marketing materials, website updates, and contract proposal materials.
- Have a hand in shaping and influencing the visual landscape of Skyward (and in winning business with our government partners).
- Develop concepts, graphics, and layouts, including making decisions about fonts, images, readability, and users' needs.
- Create and edit images using computer software to create and edit photographs or illustrations.
What we'd like you to have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design.
- 4-5 Years of Experience in Graphic Design.

- Good Understanding of Color Theory, Typography, and Layout Design to Ensure That The Final Product Is Both Aesthetically Pleasing and Functional.
- Experience Presenting Designs to Clients (any Kind of Client) and Receiving Feedback.
What Would Blow Us Away:
- Your portfolio.
