We are seeking a creative and passionate Textile Design Intern to join our growing, dynamic team in our Orange County, CA Design Studio. This Design Internship offers a unique opportunity for aspiring apparel textile designers to gain hands-on experience in the industry. The Textile Design Intern will contribute to the creation of fresh, innovative collections that align with the brand’s vision. The Intern will work closely with the Design team to assist in various aspects of the design process, from concept development to final product creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Stay up-to-date with fashion trends, conduct market research, and gather inspiration from various sources to inform design decisions.
- Create original prints, embroidery and jacquard art, in full repeats
- Learn and contribute to the design process
- Receive and comment on Strike-Offs and submits
- Produce tech packs including color callouts, repeat sizes and color separation.
- Maintain organized design records, including prints, submits and samples.
- Actively participate in design critiques and incorporate feedback to improve design concepts and prototypes.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Surface Pattern Design, Textile Design or similar
- A strong passion for women's fashion and trends.
- Proficiency in creating art by hand or digitally and knowledge of design software including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
