Full-Time Salary Range:
$90,000 – $150,000, depending on experience Small Towson law firm with a strong focus on real estate, finance, and creditor representation is seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Litigator to handle a broad range of complex matters, with an emphasis on foreclosure, bankruptcy, and other creditor’s rights litigation. Responsibilities: Represent clients in commercial litigation involving foreclosure, bankruptcy, collections, and related creditor’s rights matters Manage cases through all phases, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, settlement, trial, and appeal Advise financial institutions, lenders, and servicers on legal strategy and risk management Draft legal memoranda, motions, briefs, and related litigation documents Appear in state and federal courts, including bankruptcy court Conduct legal research and stay current on developments in relevant law Requirements: J.D. from an accredited law school Licensed to practice law in Maryland Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, with significant involvement in foreclosure and bankruptcy matters Strong working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code, UCC, and applicable state laws governing creditor enforcement Proven experience handling contested and uncontested foreclosure actions, Chapter 7 and 11 proceedings, and adversary matters Excellent legal writing, advocacy, and courtroom skills Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is a sophisticated and strategic litigator with a deep understanding of creditor’s rights, excellent judgment, and strong litigation instincts. They are proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of independently managing complex matters. A high level of professionalism, responsiveness, and client service is essential, along with the ability to thrive in a growing, fast-paced firm environment.
