A highly respected hospital located near beautiful Anchorage, Alaska is seeking a Registered Nurse - RN - Emergency Dept. (ED) for a full-time, permanent position. Responsibilities : The ideal Registered Nurse (RN) - ED/ER provides the analytical ability to solve all clinical nursing issues and conduct quality improvement research utilization projects. Exhibit organizational skills in setting priorities and efficiently completing assigned work in addition to delegating appropriate patient care activities. Basic computer proficiency inclusive of ability to access, enters, and interpret computerized data/information. Effective interpersonal skills to facilitate communication with various members of the health care team, patients, and families. Physical ability to meet the core job responsibilities in accordance with practice setting demands for the patient populations regularly served. Requirements : Associates Degree in Nursing (ASN) OR BSN, preferred. Candidates who do not have BSN, must complete BSN within 36 months. Current RN License within the state of AK or the ability to obtain prior to hire. BLS Certification At least 1-year of ED experience
