Job Summary:
The Graphic Design Production Intern plans, analyzes, and creates visual solutions to communicate the Creative Teams ideas. As artists, the Intern must be highly creative, original, intuitive and perceptive and must be able to think visually and must be able to solve complex problems, make judgments, decisions and think logically and critically. The Interns main responsibility will be to help to organize and gather relevant information to be used in presentations and help to format and find graphic solutions for client presentations.
The Intern must have a solid understanding of color, line, composition and design. They may create digital illustrations, super graphics, charts, logos and other graphic imagery as requested by the Creative team.
The Graphic Design Production Intern must possess excellent design capabilities and good communications skills and should be comfortable and confident working in a fast-paced environment with multiple overlapping deadlines.
Essential Functions: Use computer software such as Adobe Creative Suites and Microsoft Powerpoint to generate and edit presentations. Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts. Coordinate with the Graphic Designer and Creative Director to discuss and determine layout and design intent. Prepare illustrations or rough sketches of material, discussing them with the Graphic Designer and Creative Director and making necessary changes. Integrate electronic layouts, charts, detailed scale drawings, and material and equipment requirements from sketches, specifications, and standard layouts provided by the internal design team, customers, partners and/or vendors. Review and manipulate electronic files received from clients, partners, consultants and/or vendors as well as upload and download files to various systems. Mark up, paste and assemble final presentation material to prepare for printing. Job Qualifications and Requirements:
Must have or be able to quickly acquire knowledge of company structure (mission, goals, and objectives), and policies and procedures. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of presentation materials. Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time. Proficient with with Adobe Creative Suites and Microsoft Powerpoint. Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish the work. Excellent memory and organizational ability, in order to set priorities, organize workload, handle multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines. Must be able to communicate effectively with diverse individuals inside and outside the organization. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America.
