Contract: W2, May, 2025 - December, 2025 (Leave Coverage)
Location: Hybrid - New York, NY 10038
Pay Range: $37-41/hour DOE
Brief Summary:
Our client is looking for a Designer to join their beauty team! The Designer will be responsible for creating commercially viable product designs for fragrance, body care, and lip categories. This role requires a passion for beauty packaging, fashion trends, and working with diverse materials.
Responsibilities:
- Develop brand-right, commercial designs that reflect the business strategy and conceptual direction
- Interpret creative briefs and translate them into compelling packaging designs
- Generate multiple design ideas and present them to internal teams
- Stay updated on key fashion and beauty market trends
- Deliver product designs with attention to detail, agility, and speed
- Manage file setup, design turnovers, and color execution
- Work cross-functionally with merchants, package engineers, product developers, and concept teams
- Present work effectively to various stakeholders and adapt designs based on feedback
- Ensure designs meet budget and timeline constraints
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Graphic Arts, or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of beauty product design
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop); Keynote is a plus
- Strong commercial design eye with a passion for beauty products
- Ability to adapt quickly to feedback and collaborate within a team
- Familiarity with the beauty market landscape, particularly for Gen Z consumers
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Self-starter with a proactive approach and high level of accountability
