The Marketing Content Manager is responsible for identifying content needs for Tyler’s Courts and Justice division, including contributing to editorial calendars, managing editorial style guides, working across the marketing organization to deliver inbound marketing strategies that expand outreach, and delivering high-quality, well-written content for multiple marketing channels such as print, digital, social, and multimedia. This role also contributes to the direction and messaging for content-driven outbound initiatives, such as new product launches. Additionally, the Marketing Content Manager manages marketing content specialists, acting as a mentor and thought leader across the corporation.
Responsibilities
- Manage marketing content specialists, ensuring quality, consistency, and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with senior leadership in marketing and the division to generate content meeting division, market, and company needs.
- Support direct reports in developing core competencies.
- Work with corporate and vertical market areas to develop effective content marketing and editorial plans aligned with business objectives.
- Understand inbound content programs and their role in driving demand, separate from product and brand campaigns.
- Collaborate with designers and communication professionals to produce high-quality content.
- Edit, proofread, and improve content for clarity and quality.
- Optimize content considering SEO best practices and Google Analytics insights.
- Create well-structured, engaging content optimized for inbound marketing strategies across print and digital channels.
- Coordinate with other content creators and designers to ensure delivery of quality marketing materials.
- Provide feedback on content created by others.
- Monitor content marketing results using metrics such as conversion rates, comments, and engagement.
Qualifications
- At least 8 years of demonstrable content marketing experience, preferably including people management.
- BA/BS degree in Marketing, Journalism, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience creating web content and growing a social audience.
- Strong editorial mindset understanding audience consumption and content creation.
- Ability to analyze and present social and content performance data.
- Project management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders’ priorities in a complex environment, focusing on engagement, leads, and sales.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Basic understanding of SEO strategies, content categorization, structure, development, distribution, and measurement.
- Knowledge of B2B marketing principles.
- Knowledge of public sector and/or technology industries is recommended.
