The Instructional Design Specialist will support the RiverTech contract with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Office of Administration. The role involves providing on-site expert support for developing and facilitating web-based and classroom training on USCIS Office of Administration Facilities and Logistics Management Divisions policies, procedures, processes, and organizational compliance requirements. The curriculum will cover boarding training and other areas, aiming to enhance OSI’s enterprise-wide training capabilities. The responsibilities include analyzing and assisting with training planning, development, and coordination, including curriculum development, drafting modules, creating examinations, scheduling, and delivering training via in-person or virtual methods. Responsibilities
Collaborate with ADM LMD leadership and SMEs to identify training needs and develop course materials for classroom and online training. Organize and archive training materials. Manage electronic file sharing sites like Microsoft SharePoint for curriculum sharing. Document procedures related to training utilization and delivery. Maintain training metrics and provide status updates. Prepare reports and briefings on training evaluation results, recommending improvements. Assist in developing recommendations, processes, and approaches to support business planning. Work with stakeholders to develop and implement training rollout plans, ensuring proper LMS availability and completion tracking. Qualifications
U.S. citizenship is required. Ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance and USCIS Entry on Duty (EOD) clearance. Bachelor’s Degree in security, training, or related discipline; relevant work experience may substitute. Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience. Successful pre-employment background investigation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and training software like Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strategic planning, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and within groups. Additional details include job ID, work type (On-Site), pay range ($70,000 - $75,000), benefits, and company background.
