Lead Front-End React Engineer - Lead UI Developer - (Contractor)

Work for a highly desired, well known globally, investment banking corporate office in downtown Chicago. This is a hybrid position and will require 3 days/week on site. Walking distance from Union Station.

Lead Front-End React Engineer - Lead UI Developer:

***Must have experience in a Senior level position and leading a team.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Developing new greenfield and brownfield products using ReactJS.
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
• Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code.
• Responsible for efficiently working with other teams in the organization to help them leverage the micro-FE framework/components library in their quest to modernize their applications.
• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.
• Facilitate code review

Lead Front-End React Engineer - Lead UI Developer - Key Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in React.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Experience with Redux or other state management libraries
• Skilled in data visualization (e.g., D3, Chart.js, Highcharts)
• Proven ability to design and implement UI/UX solutions
• Familiar with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Mocha, Jest, Enzyme)
• Experience working with SQL and databases (relational, document)
• Knowledge of web application security (e.g., OWASP, Content Security Policy)
• Proficient with Webpack or similar module bundlers
• Leadership experience in managing teams and guiding technical direction
• Familiar with agile methodologies (Jira, ADO, Bitbucket, GitHub)
• Strong communication and analytical skills

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with microservices architecture and cloud-native development
• Knowledge of Domain Driven Design
