Responsibilities
- Manage a team of UI artists, providing guidance, education, artistic mentorship, and feedback.
- Proactively engage with the head of visual development, producers, 3D leads, game designers, engineers, and concept artists to define scope and solutions to visual problems.
- Collaborate with the art director establishing visual goals, objectives, and work plans.
- Create wireframes, mocks, and prototypes to visualize UI flows, and player interactions in VR.
- Produce and integrate UI assets in accordance with pre-defined artistic and technical guidelines.
- Deliver, request, and accept constructive feedback.
- Manage artists' career growth, providing performance feedback and reviews, coaching, and mentoring.
- Actively support recruitment and team development efforts, participating in interviews, hiring, and onboarding UI artists.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of industry experience managing UI artists working on a game project.
- A portfolio showcasing UI game samples including wireframes and mock-ups, that demonstrate solid UI/UX foundations.
- Experience developing and launching titles using Unreal Engine.
- Experience collaborating on multi-disciplinary teams in a lead capacity.
- Thoroughly understand the art and game design pipelines to create and deliver art pitches and plans for UI.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiar with and interested in VR.
- Experience integrating 3D UI assets.
- Experience implementing UI materials and lighting.
- An affinity for games across platforms and genres.

Compensation: $149,000/year to $205,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
