Candidates should take the time to read all the elements of this job advert carefully Please make your application promptly. Bowhead is actively recruiting for a Public Relations Specialist to provide multimedia support for a proposal effort in San Diego, CA. Responsibilities
Track, consolidate, and document completion status of required data calls, requests for information, and multimedia presentations for public affairs initiatives and requirements to disseminate relevant information to internal and external audiences, including subordinate organizations, external support organizations, families, reserve personnel, media representatives, other military organizations, the general public, etc. Provide strategic communications recommendations to develop increased awareness of LCSRON 1’s key messages to internal and external target audiences through official media releases, social media postings, outreach programs, and staff presentations. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (e.g., Audiovisual Communications, Journalism, Photojournalism, Mass Communications, Multimedia Management) from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of professional experience in mass communications/journalism. Military experience as an Enlisted Surface Warfare Mass Communications Specialist, or as a Public Affairs Officer, or relevant DoD government experience is preferred. Two (2) years experience developing communications process productivity tools. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience within the last five (5) years developing or producing metrics tools and reports. Physical Demands
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods. Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically. Security Clearance Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is required for Secret clearance at this location. Additional Details
