Job Summary
LIV VERO Magazine is seeking a motivated and results-driven Advertising Sales Consultant to join our magazine’s publishing team. This role is responsible for generating advertising revenue by identifying prospects, building relationships, and selling print and digital ad space. Ideal candidates will have a passion for media, a strong understanding of marketing, and a proven track record in sales.

Reporting Structure
Direct report to Co-Publishers.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, agencies, and organizations.
• Prospect and cold-call potential clients to present advertising opportunities.
• Sell advertising space across print, digital, and event sponsorship platforms.
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Create customized proposals based on client marketing needs and budget.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activity and client communications using client relationship management (CRM) software.
• Collaborate with editorial and design teams to ensure ad placements meet client expectations.
• Stay current on market trends, competitors, magazine strategy and content focus.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (preferred but not required).
• 2+ years of experience in media, advertising, or B2B sales.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed revenue targets.
• Strong portfolio of successful sales or client relationships (a plus).
• Knowledge of advertising and marketing strategies, both traditional and digital.
• Note: candidates with different education majors and work experience are still encouraged to apply, since personal dynamism, talent, drive, and work ethic are critical attributes.
Skills & Competencies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Confident, persuasive, and resilient in client-facing situations.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Familiarity with CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and digital ad platforms.
• Professional dress and appearance, exemplary interpersonal style.
• Conducts business according to the highest ethical standards.
Work Stipulations
• Vero Beach and Indian River County territory.
• Full-time position, i.e., 40 hour minimum work week.
• Occasional evening or weekend work for client meetings or events.
• Reliable transportation for client visits.
• Work from home when not visiting clients.
Compensation & Benefits
• 100% commission-based with uncapped earnings potential.
• Above industry average percentage commission.
• Performance bonuses and incentives.
• Flexible work hours, manages own calendar and work processes.
