Job Description: Interaction/UX Sound Designer
Location: Fully remote in US
Overview
We are seeking an Interaction Sound Designer to join our innovative Creative Audio team. Our mission is to create meaningful experiences that enhance human connection through the power of audio. We are looking for someone passionate about sound for products to help us achieve this goal. As an Interaction Sound Designer, you will be part of a team of highly skilled creatives from diverse backgrounds and industries dedicated to crafting exceptional audio experiences. You will have access to state-of-the-art recording facilities at our internal studios and will explore new dimensions of experience through haptics design.
Key Responsibilities
- Support complex interaction sound design projects through completion.
- Map out haptics design patterns on Android and iOS devices.
- Design custom haptic patterns using specialized tools.
- Create unique, memorable, and landmark sonic experiences for a wide audience.
- Use your understanding of interaction sound design to create UX sounds.
- Develop mock-ups and prototypes.
- Execute in a fast-paced and highly fluid environment.
- Collaborate with other sound designers for system alignment across products.
- Work with partners to ensure scope, planning, and execution of sound design.
- Contribute to sonic excellence, maintaining quality and leveraging resources for consistency and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Interaction Sound Design.
- 3+ years of experience creating UX sonic experiences for mobile and hardware products.
- Experience designing original sounds for high-profile products.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Expertise in Pro Tools and/or other professional DAWs.
- Understanding of human-centered design principles.
- Ability to act on feedback quickly.
- Experience testing sound implementation.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Mobile audio experience.
- Understanding of Design Systems and systems thinking.
- Ability to mix in various formats.
- Video editing skills (Premier Pro, Final Cut, Avid, etc.).
Pay and Benefits
The pay range is $50.00/hr. Eligibility for benefits depends on employment specifics and may include:
