Job Description
The UX Design Lead will be a pivotal leader in establishing UX Design as a new domain. They will diagnose the current state, identify challenges and opportunities, and create the strategic direction and priorities for UX Design, with support from the VP of Product. This person will bring strong best practices, including customer research fundamentals and the latest AI tools, to drive efficiency for a small team, and make a significant impact. Strong communication skills, as interfacing heavily with US-based product and engineering teams/leaders. Thought leadership in UX: long-term strategy, system design, creating consistency across multiple applications, reusable components, scalability. Experience with AI tools in UX: leveraging AI in product discovery, rapid prototyping, and user testing. Familiarity with tools like Lovable. Research-focused approach: creating personas, building prototypes, conducting customer research. Tools: Figma, usability tools for quick customer feedback. Experience in selecting and deciding on design tools. Managing multiple applications: Meridian ERP System, Meter Data Management Cloud Solution, Field Service Mobile App, Meridian Mobile App. Leadership: 50% thought leadership/management, 50% hands-on direction to current UX contractor in Brazil.
