Base pay range

$59.70/hr - $59.70/hr

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Columbus, OH seeking a UX/UI Accessibility Lead Designer for Web & ECommerce. The role involves delivering accessible digital experiences, managing an internal accessibility audit to ensure website compliance, and ensuring UI components meet WCAG 2.1, ADA, and Section 508 standards. Up to 25% travel may be required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
• 7+ years of relevant experience, or 5+ years with managerial experience
• Proven experience creating accessible UI components compliant with WCAG 2.1, ADA, and Section 508
• Expertise in accessibility principles, including color contrast, keyboard navigation, and screen readers
• Strong portfolio demonstrating accessible UI work
• Proficiency in Figma and managing accessibility in prototypes
• Knowledge of assistive technologies and their integration
• Understanding of designing for various disabilities
• Excellent communication skills for advocating accessibility
• Experience with project management tools like Jira or Asana
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams

Preferred Skills

• Experience with front-end development or understanding of implementation processes
• Experience conducting accessibility audits with tools like Lighthouse
• Familiarity with version control or design system management tools

The pay range reflects the lowest to highest expected compensation, which may vary based on multiple factors. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and insurance options. Salaried employees receive paid time off; hourly employees' benefits vary by contract and legal requirements.
