Must Have Skills:

The client Experience Design Team is looking for an enthusiastic UX Operations Manager with a deep understanding of the ecommerce customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in UX Design Operations with a solid understanding of the product design process, from discovery, research and requirements gathering, through design iteration, validation testing, and QA.
The UX Operations Manager will work closely with product designers and cross functional teams, taking the initiative necessary to help maintain design focus and quality from a project execution perspective, identifying risks and providing tactical support wherever appropriate. This role provides communication structure, project management, and strong executional leadership for the design team. The UX Operations Manager knows the project timeline health and risks at all times, manages meetings and design reviews, captures concise meeting notes, anticipates roadblocks, and communicates project status to key stakeholders.
- Work with product owners, stakeholders to understand project requests, define requirements and develop actionable project plans.
- Act as a bridge between UX, Engineering, and Product Management (PM) teams, connecting all three groups and making sure interdependencies are understood and planned for.
- Drive UX team deliverables by removing obstacles, assisting with tactical issues, triaging bugs, scheduling UX reviews with stakeholders and leadership, and communicating product/team status.
- Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and articulate risks, trade-offs, and recommend prioritization based on a balance of business needs, technical constraints, and customer impact.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience as a Producer, UX PM, or similar role in a user experience or design, or front-end development team.
- Understanding of design and development processes for ecommerce sites. Knowledge in project management tools like JIRA is a plus.
- Familiarity with design systems is highly preferred, ensuring efficient collaboration among all contributors (designers, engineers, CMS specialists) and integration into the overall UX strategy and enterprise solution.
- Ability to effectively manage cross functional projects, noting dependencies and identifying bottlenecks.
- Experience escalating issues to leadership, anticipating and making trade-offs, balancing the business need versus other constraints and maximizing business benefit while building great customer experiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present in a clear and concise manner within the enterprise.
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
- Results oriented with a proven track record of on-time project/program delivery for large, cross-functional projects with global stakeholders.
