Job Title: UI/UX Designer
Salary Range: $120,000 - $125,000 annually
Location: Remote (must reside within 50 miles of the greater DC/Northern Virginia area)
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic team. This position will involve a variety of responsibilities aimed at improving the usability, interaction design, and user experience of digital products. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting usability testing, creating design concepts, and presenting findings to both internal teams and end-users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct usability testing, including preparing test plans, creating wireframes, facilitating test sessions, analyzing data, and presenting results.
- Create and document information design concepts and solutions, utilizing wireframes, prototypes, and task flow diagrams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless user experiences.
- Conduct user interviews and contextual inquiries to gather insights and feedback.
- Utilize user tracking and metrics tools (e.g., Matomo) to analyze and monitor user behavior.
- Visualize and report on user metrics through tools such as Qlik and Tableau.
- Communicate effectively with end-users, internal teams, and stakeholders, with a strong emphasis on presenting complex data and design concepts in an understandable way.
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree with 7-10 years of relevant experience, OR
- Master's degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in usability testing, including creating and analyzing test plans and wireframes.
- Strong background in creating wireframes, prototypes, and task flow diagrams to communicate design concepts and solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting user interviews and contextual inquiries.
- Proficiency in user tracking tools (e.g., Matomo) and visualization platforms such as Qlik and Tableau.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Security Clearance:
- Active TS (Top Secret) clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Usability or UX-related certification (e.g., Certified Usability Analyst, CUA) is a plus.
