TrueNorth is looking for a Creative Intern to join our Creative Services Team. If you're looking to grow your graphic design, marketing, and project management skills while supporting communication strategies and event execution, this might be the role for you!
This internship will begin with part-time hours during the spring semester and transition to full-time hours from May through August. This position is based in our Cedar Rapids, IA office. You'll have the flexibility to work remotely during the spring, with occasional visits to the office for work and team events. The summer portion will transition to a fully onsite experience.
As a Creative Intern, You Will:
- Create and update collateral materials that adhere with TrueNorth's brand guidelines using Adobe Creative Suite (mainly InDesign and Illustrator)
- Assist with building creative yet consistent brand assets that adheres to, and supports, the TrueNorth brand, visual identity, legal guidelines, and messaging
- Contribute to content creation and deployment for social media, websites, portals and other platforms
- Update and brandwash PowerPoint presentations, fillable PDF's, electronic documents, and marketing forms
- Support project management needs
- Assist with the development and execution of corporate communication and marketing strategies
- Support the coordination and execution of virtual and in-person events
- Other duties, as assigned
- Must be of Junior or Senior year status; currently pursuing a degree or certificate in Graphic Design, Marketing, or related creative field
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite tools; primarily Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat
- Prior internship or job experience preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- The ability to work successfully in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ideal candidates will have a genuine interest in the insurance industry
