WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Collaborate with product owners, project managers, business analysts, and UX designers to plan and conduct user research that supports product design decisions.
Assist in designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative studies, including generative and evaluative research.
Create research artifacts, presentations, and reference materials to effectively communicate research findings.
Support the establishment of a research repository for documenting research activities.
Work with cross-functional teams to provide research insights that align with business objectives.
Present research findings to stakeholders to help inform product direction.
Participate in efforts to enhance UX maturity and education within the organization.
Mentor and support junior team members in research methodologies and practices.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Required:
3+ years of experience conducting user research in a product organization.
Proficiency with user research tools and platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Maze, UserTesting.com, User Zoom).
Understanding of data collection methods and their appropriate applications.
Ability to communicate research results and methodologies to various stakeholders.
Experience assisting in workshops with internal teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
Strong emotional intelligence, interpersonal communication, and critical thinking skills.
Experience conducting user research and deriving insights through qualitative and quantitative methods.
Familiarity with Agile principles and working within a Sprint cadence.
Ability to create useful artifacts and reference materials that support design initiatives.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
Evidence of contributions to organizational outcomes based on research work (Case Studies, Portfolio).
Ability to work 100% on-site in Pontiac, Michigan.
Preferred:
Degree in Human Factors, Social Sciences, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG, 508 Compliance).
Familiarity with the mortgage or financial industry.
Experience supporting UX research initiatives within previous organizations.
