What you'll do: You'll work with the Brand Communications Manager to lead strategic planning for social media and will have ownership over all day-to-day social media and influencer marketing execution in support of building a strong and positive perception of the Zipcar brand. Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Social Media & Influencer Contractor to join our brand and creative team at Zipcar. This role offers an excellent opportunity to manage all aspects of social media, end-to-end. You will lead the management of Zipcar's social media channels and influencer strategy, among other responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute overall and seasonal social media channel and content strategy across all segments. Lead content creation for owned social media channels; collaborating with the brand and creative team on concepts and execution. This may include filming videos at your nearest Zipcar or capturing photography at the Boston office. Own the day-to-day community management on owned social channels, including posting proactive content, engaging with followers in meaningful conversations, and seeking opportunities for brand engagement in real-time. Manage consumer and university influencer/brand ambassador marketing end-to-end, including strategy, partner identification, contract management, briefing, trip management, content management, and reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute social media-specific needs, using appropriate channels and content mix. Manage relationships with third-party vendors (e.g., contact center, social media tools). Manage social media tools and reporting; evaluate and recommend tools and technology. Stay updated on social media trends to recommend trending content. Track and analyze social media metrics to assess performance and suggest improvements. Qualifications: 5+ years of marketing experience in social media, community management, and influencer marketing. Proven track record of leading successful social media and influencer campaigns that drove measurable growth. Experience managing influencers and content creators. Excellent copywriting, communication, and organizational skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines while producing high-quality work. Strong understanding of platform algorithms, content trends, and emerging tools, with the ability to adapt strategies. Experience with social media for member/customer service is a plus. Exceptional written and oral communication skills; ability to build cross-functional relationships and influence. Understanding of key social media metrics and KPIs. Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects in changing environments. Interest or experience in content creation, photography, or graphic design is a plus.
