Job Description/Summary:
A videographer/storyteller position is now available at WMC-TV in Memphis, TN. Here's your chance to capture and tell the stories of the communities we serve and be part of a #1 newsroom.
We have an immediate opening for a full-time Videographer/Journalist to work with reporters and independently as a member of our news team. We need someone with a creative eye, technical expertise, and a can-do attitude. You'll also need to understand the importance of visual composition, natural sound, and quality lighting. The successful candidate must be able to deliver great videos daily in our very competitive breaking news market.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with reporters to create compelling video content.
- Independently capture and edit video for news stories.
- Ensure high-quality visual storytelling through effective composition and lighting.
- Meet daily deadlines in a fast-paced news environment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism/communications with videography and non-linear editing preferred.
- Proven experience as a digital video storyteller with strong camera and editing skills.
- Proven team player who wants to win every day.
- A demo reel is required.
- Ability to prioritize and address multiple projects with varying production timelines.
- Must be energetic, positive, and great to work with.
- Must be a highly motivated self-starter, able to work well alone and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
