Responsibilities
We are looking for a forward-thinking Senior Rendering/Graphics programmer to join our team. We are looking for someone with a strong passion for beautiful imagery and a keen sense on how to make something turn from great to spectacular! What You’ll Be Doing:
- Develop new and enhance existing graphics technologies for rendering, lighting, shadows and shaders on all platforms with an emphasis in the mobile space to help achieve high level visualss;
- Develop or upgrade tools that go along with features and ensure these tools are usable and appropriate for programmers, artists, and the engine;
- Dig into deep, complex systems to provide technical guidance to engineers, game designers and artists;
- Passionate about finding technical solutions to enable artists to achieve cohesive and amazing visuals in our games;
- Profile, maintain and optimize rendering, pipelines, lighting and shading components of a game and improve overall performance.
Qualifications
We Expect You To Have:
- 3+ years’ experience in developing games professionally;
- Thorough knowledge and proficient application of 3D math, rendering algorithms, and data structures;
- Experience with HLSL, CG or other vendor specific shader programming language;
- Experience with 3D graphics APIs (Direct3D 11+, OpenGL, Vulkan, etc.);
- Experience optimizing both performance factors and memory footprints using software profilers (PIX, GPA, etc.);
- Experience debugging graphics pipelines using relevant platform tooling (Renderdoc, PIX, GPA, etc.);
- Experience with multithreaded programming;
- Strong communication and proficiency in working with technical artists to develop and iterate on features/tools;
- Ability to work with artists, designers and other content creators to make sure they can get the most out of the technology.
Even Better If You Have:
- Experience in AAA game development or Film production;
- Mobile games experience
- Experience in open world games;
- Experience in Unreal 4/5.
Additional Information
- This is a hybrid role based in Los Angeles (currently hybrid because of pandemic);
- Current working hours: Monday – Friday, 11am – 8pm Pacific Time (including one-hour break);
- Salary depending on experience.
