General Assignment Reporter - The Rockford Register Star is seeking a full-time, digitally savvy reporter responsible for producing engaging stories for publication across our multiple platforms — daily print, website, and specialty publications.
The successful candidate must have a degree in journalism or a related field and two years' reporting experience for a daily newspaper or online news site. The skills required for this position include:
- The ability to write on tight deadlines for multiple platforms.
- The ability to break news using social media.
- A conversational writing style that renders even complex topics interesting to the reader.
