This role reports to an Associate Director on the Creative Operations team. Creative Operations is part of Spotify’s Creative Lab team, which leads creative, strategy, operations, and production for the Spotify advertising business. We work collaboratively with brands and agencies to inspire, create, and scale creativity with Spotify-first thinking. Our purpose is to build brand experiences that use the creative, cultural and contextual potential of Spotify that fans love.What You'll Do
Manage a medium-sized team of full time and contract project managers across the US, CA, and LATAM – driving development and impact across your orgPartner with Sales, Account Management, and Strategy leadership to evolve the PM support model, thoughtfully share and receive feedback, and improve XFN processesProvide effective coaching and support for direct reports & serve as an escalation path for partner teamsBuild strong, well-managed relationships with peers and senior partners, viewed as a subject matter expert and go-to resource for across Spotify’s Ads BULead high-profile client and senior internal partner conversations, and curate/conduct XFN training on behalf of the teamIdentify business problems to be addressed and clearly scope out the workstream, to be driven by self or team; Prioritize projects based on their contribution to business goals and internal/external impactDesign and uphold standard of excellence in client & production support across internal team and 3P production partnersEffectively present & communicate challenges, impact, and team roadmap to XFN leadershipManage any concerns and align on best ways forward, informed by subject matter expertise, understanding of XFN dynamics and Spotify’s clientsProactively drive projects forward, anticipate needs, understand the risks and problem solve across teamsEfficiently multitask under pressure, while taking the unexpected in strideMeet and manage deadlines in a casual but effective mannerAssess, manage, and grow 3P production partner networkWho You Are:
You have a min of 7+ years of experiencein a client-facing, project management or ad sales marketingrole. Preferably in a people-manager role with podcast advertising experienceExperience communicating with high-caliber clients, translating their needs to creative teams and vice versaProduction or production-adjacent experience, with deep knowledge of the ad & branded content production process across multiple mediumsExperience sourcing, onboarding, and managing 3P vendorsA trusted leader who can spearhead large-scale projects on time, within scope, and across multiple partners and teamsStrong understanding of the competitive landscape and global trends impacting the industryDemonstrated ability to discover knowledge required to solve new challengesSelf-prioritize towards innovative, challenging goals that drive positive business resultsEffective but diplomatic communication skills - the ability to tailor communication style based on audience, providing an appropriate context for team and partners to operate effectivelyEngaged and curious, exhibiting a growth mindsetComfortable in an ambiguous, fast-paced environmentHumble and hungry teammate always willing to pitch in wherever neededAbility to thrive in a collaborative culture, embracing change and effectively implementing feedbackProactive and savvy problem solver; adaptable and easygoing; ability to see projects through to the finishWhere You'll Be:
We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! For this role, you can be within the EST or PST time zone as long as we have a work location.The United States base range for this position is $116,941 - $167,059 plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
