As an Executive Leader in Otterbein’s mission to enrich individual life journeys for all, the Vice President of Marketing & Communication drives the ministry’s efforts to position itself for growth, achieve revenue goals, and maximize resident satisfaction. The VP will lead a team of senior leaders and community marketing and public relations staff in the development, implementation and execution of marketing, branding and public relations initiatives. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies and metrics aligned with the organization's mission to continually achieve census and revenue goals. Census:
Collaborate with Operational Leaders and Executive Leadership to determine appropriate census goals for all Otterbein ministries and develop effective strategies in tandem with Sales, Marketing, and Admissions teams in the field to achieve established goals. Brand Management:
Enhance and maintain the organization's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing materials and communications. Campaign Development:
Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns to promote our services, programs, and events. Digital Marketing:
Lead digital marketing initiatives, including website management, social media, email marketing, and online advertising. Public Relations:
Manage media relations, press releases, and public statements to enhance the organization's public image. Develop comprehensive strategies to ensure PR mediums are effective, driving positive brand awareness, and resulting in desired revenue goals. Content Creation:
Oversee the development of high-quality content for various platforms, including newsletters, brochures, videos, and blog posts. Stakeholder Communication:
Ensure clear and effective communication with residents, families, employees, donors, and the broader community. Market Research:
Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning. Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of marketing and communication professionals, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment. Budget Management:
Develop and manage the marketing and communication budget, ensuring efficient use of resources. Growth:
Create and refine systems and processes that allow for continued growth, scalability, and sustainability. Participate in due diligence process when the organization is evaluating potential new ministries. Must be flexible and adaptable to change as the organization grows. Experience & Qualifications Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science i.e. Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications required. Masters degree preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a staff. Be able to multi-task and prioritize duties. Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in healthcare a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Previous experience in scaling an organization through growth highly desired. Skills & Characteristics High degree of confidentiality and the ability to treat all matters with the appropriate discretion. Strong verbal, listening, and written communication skills. Enthusiastic, flexible, and supportive team player. Professional demeanor with the ability to adapt with individuals regardless of position/level within the organization. Conscientious and proactive approach to situations with high attention to detail. Travel Requirements: 40% travel includes some overnight travel. Physical Requirements: Occasionally lift and move objects weighing up to 15 pounds. Could be exposed to hazardous materials exposures/environmental hazards. May be exposed to communicable diseases.
