KTBC FOX 7 in Austin is on the hunt for a Morning Show Producer to craft, plan, and deliver the most engaging, informative, and entertaining hour of morning news in the city. In Austin's ultra-competitive news market. we need a content rockstar who can effortlessly transition from breaking news and severe weather coverage to live segments and studio guests that highlight the richness of our diverse community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control Room Mastery:Operate with a sense of urgency and expertise in the control room, ready to manage live coverage across linear and streaming platforms simultaneously.
- Digital Collaboration:Work closely with our digital team to ensure content is optimized for all platforms, supporting our expanding digital presence.
- Content Creation:Exhibit concise, accurate, and audience-focused writing skills. Edit video to enhance live and studio segments, and apply social media best practices to engage our audience.
- Future Planning:After your show, dive into planning for upcoming broadcasts. Collaborate with anchors, reporters, and the assignment desk to develop future stories and segments, keeping FOX 7 at the forefront of local news.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a producer in a small or medium market preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in journalism or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and multitask effectively.
- Familiarity with newsroom computer systems, graphics programs, and video editing software.
- Flexibility to work various hours/shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
