General Summary:
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator position requires a working understanding of strategic and tactical marketing and communications skills. It includes supporting the Marketing Director in executing a wide range of marketing functions as well as taking on some planning duties. Critical to success in this role are effective design skills, solid written and verbal communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, an ability to draft a social media plan (schedule/calendar), plan events and a dynamic "can do" spirit. This is an intermediate-level position - it provides opportunity to gain experience through practical application and build skills through mentorship on the road to first-level and middle-level marketing management positions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Interface and ServiceProviding project and administrative support for a variety of internal and external marketing programsWorking with marketing team to produce and manage brand identity & other marketing initiatives, collateral and assets - both physical and digitalPlanning & managing social media and website content production - including posting to social media platforms, and providing analytic summariesThe organization's major events are planned, executed and meet stated event objectives.Organization's social media strategy is executed as planned and the metric meets strategic goals.Solid support is given to planning and executing the marketing/communications plan.It is actively supporting the marketing and communications director with duties
Managing photography/videography (shooting & editing) assignments (including Podcasts)
Stakeholder Outreach and RecruitmentHealthy vendor relationships are established and maintainedAll materials for external consumption are accurate, consistent in format, design, content and are professionally presented with the organization's brand standards.
Managing vendor relationships including print houses, advertising firms, web developers, etc.
Tracking, Document, and ReportingTemplates and guides are up-to-date and readily available for dissemination to appropriate audiences.Maintaining schedules for a variety of marketing initiatives - including the Department's, marketing, social media, editorial, project and ZOOM meeting calendarsPlanning, organizing and promote organizational events - including setup and running in-person and virtual functions
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent time management skills - with high level attention to detail and follow-throughAbility to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentOutgoing personality with strong interpersonal and social abilitiesFamiliarity with social media, social networking, and email marketingDemonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skillsProject planning and management and problem-solving skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office (365) is requiredProficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Adobe Premiere)Digital photography and video editing experienceDemonstrated ability to plan and execute events.
Education and Experience:
Associate or bachelor's degree in marketing, business or a related field required. 2-3 years of experience in a marketing assistant or equivalent role.
