MD Partnerships and DevelopmentDuties and ResponsibilitiesDevelopmentIn collaboration with the Managing Director of Partnerships, Development & Marketing, develop and maintain Reading Assist's fundraising objectives and policiesPrepare accurate research on prospects and assemble materials for cultivation and solicitation visitsCoordinate fundraising eventsPrepare grant applications and fundraising proposalsBuild relationships with key sponsors and community leaders as well as existing and new corporate partnersManage all aspects of DonorPerfect - assure that all types of donations (cash, pledges, matching gifts, and planned gifts) are properly documented in DonorPerfect, the organization's databaseFacilitate stewardship of donorsManage the timely acknowledgement of gifts; prepare and send year-end tax letters to all donorsEnsure data integrity through accurate data entry and ongoing clean-up effortsSupport grant writing, reporting, and researchCommunicationsDevelop and post content to social media; track and evaluate the effectiveness of social media campaignsAssist with proper archiving of print and digital materialsSupport the consistent use of Reading Assist's style/branding guide and best practicesManage the design, production, and distribution of print, electronic, and multimedia materials, including (but not limited to) advertisements, brochures, email newsletters, appeals, video and audio recordingsSupport planning and directing marketing or advertising campaignsOffice OperationsCollaborate with various departments on, and prepare and manage process plans for special eventsGenerate clear, action-oriented meeting notes for the department and associated committee workManage departmental calendar; send timely reminders for, and facilitate task updates and reportingProcess incoming and outgoing mailOther development, communications, and operational-related duties as neededRequirements and QualificationsBachelor's degreeMinimum two years of experience in an office environment, preferably in nonprofit fundraising or communicationsExcellent written and verbal communicationHigh attention to detailTeamwork, time-management, and organizational skills a mustProficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; experience with donor databases and design software a plusStrong interpersonal communication skillsInterest in development and communicationsSalary:
$60,000-$70,000, commensurate with experienceHybrid schedule (combines remote and in-office work), minimal travel required to our regions (DE, DC, and PA) as needed for events.
