Operations Manager – Music City 4x4 (Hendersonville & Clarksville, TN)

Music City 4x4 is a premier offroad customization and truck accessory shop with locations in Hendersonville and Clarksville, TN. We specialize in lift kits, wheels & tires, lighting, offroad accessories, and more. We are looking for a strong leader to oversee our locations, drive sales growth, improve operational processes, and ensure financial success.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to take Music City 4x4 to the next level. This role will oversee all day-to-day operations, develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), track sales targets, manage financials, and help drive business growth. The ideal candidate has a strong background in automotive operations—preferably vehicle customization—but at minimum, a passion for the industry and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations at both Hendersonville and Clarksville locations.
- Develop and streamline SOPs to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Track sales, set targets, and adjust pricing/services/promotions to maximize revenue.
- Manage P&L, profitability tracking, and labor/pricing adjustments as needed.
- Identify and explore new revenue streams to expand business opportunities.
- Handle hiring, training, and performance reviews for key positions.
- Assist with promotions and customer outreach (external marketing handled by an agency).
- Allow Thomas (current manager) to handle conflict resolution while staying informed.
- Step in to lead and support the team when needed but focus primarily on high-level oversight and strategic direction.
Requirements:
- Experience in automotive service or offroad customization.
- If no direct experience, must have a strong passion for the industry and a willingness to learn.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing multiple locations or departments.
- Strong financial acumen, including P&L management, budgeting, and cost control.
- Ability to develop and implement process improvements and SOPs.
- Sales-driven mindset with the ability to analyze data and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
