Lead by example through Virgin Galactic’s values, with respect to our straight-up way which fosters, transparent, and open communication.
Operate company owned and leased vehicles and equipment to include pick-up trucks, forklifts, man lifts, tractors, & semi-tractor trailer combinations.
Perform freight and small parcel transportation between company facilities and regional suppliers.
Load materials, parts, & tools onto or into vehicles and/or trailers and properly secure with strapping, bracing, and padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
Complete associated paperwork such as daily vehicle inspection reports, load manifests, receipt travellers and receipts.
Willingness to work overtime or adjust schedule for special assignments.
Facilitate and expedite the flow of time-sensitive materials to specified production areas within our facilities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
A positive and infectious attitude is a must.
Self-starter who can operate autonomously, with little supervision.
Requires Skills and Experience
Current valid AZ CDL driver license with medical certification. Hazmat endorsements is a plus.
2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
Must be service oriented and maintain a professional approach when dealing with business partners, customers, and clients.
Customer-oriented, well organized, prompt, and courteous
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Able to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-based manufacturing environment
The ability to lift heavy objects up to 75 pounds.
Basic computer skills.
Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
Displays sound judgment, with the ability to make accurate and timely decisions.
Must possess strong motivational, organizational, interpersonal skills.
Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
Work is completed within a manufacturing environment. There may be periodic exposure to moderate temperature changes. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Physical and/or Additional Requirements
Must be able to work all shifts and available for overtime as well as weekends when needed.
Must be able to travel and/or be on call as needed.
Must be able to stand for extended periods – 8 hours min.
Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces- 3+ hours min.
Physically able to handle items weighing up to 75 lbs (unassisted).

#LI-TQ The annual U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $53,040.00–$72,665.00. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, and experience and take into account internal equity. Other forms of pay (e.g., bonus or long term incentive) may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
