Optomi, in partnership with an innovative automotive client, is seeking a Senior UX Designer with deep expertise in design systems to help push the boundaries of digital product design. This is a great opportunity for a creative thinker who’s passionate about crafting intuitive, inclusive, and highly engaging user experiences across both digital and physical spaces. This role is ideal for a creative, systems-level designer dedicated to developing intuitive, inclusive, and engaging experiences across digital and physical realms. The candidate should have a strong foundation in user-centered design, expert-level understanding of design systems at scale, and hands-on experience with Figma and component-based design. Collaboration with product, engineering, and design teams is essential to deliver impactful solutions from concept through execution, serving as a design systems SME . This team participates in onsite collaboration from Monday to Thursday at their Plano, TX hub. What You Will Do: Design and deliver responsive, user-centered experiences across platforms Create wireframes, flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals Serve as the subject matter expert for design systems —leading governance, documentation, and component design Contribute to and evolve design systems and style guides Apply accessibility and inclusive design principles Collaborate cross-functionally to align design with technical feasibility and business goals Conduct UX audits and help define design strategy through clear documentation Stay current on design trends, tools, and emerging technologies (especially AI and multimodal interaction) The Right Candidate Will Have: 7+ years of UX/Product Design experience Expertise in Figma and prototyping tools Proven leadership in design systems strategy and implementation at scale Strong UI, visual design, and interaction skills Experience designing with accessibility standards (WCAG) Excellent communication and collaboration skills A compelling portfolio showcasing end-to-end design and design systems contributions (must include at least 1 example of design systems work) Bonus: Animation experience, early-stage product work, or AI product experience Why You’ll Love This Opportunity: Work on innovative, high-visibility digital initiatives Supportive, collaborative, forward-thinking team Influence the future of design systems and tools Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Design, Product Management, and Information Technology Industries IT Services and IT Consulting, Motor Vehicle Manufacturing, Defense and Space Manufacturing Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Optomi by 2x.
