Role Description
Position: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
Location: Hybrid
Type: Full-time
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to spearhead biochar sales and the carbon credit market. The ideal candidate will develop and execute high-impact marketing, sales, and partnership strategies to scale SoilLogia’s presence in both the agricultural and carbon credit sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead a go-to-market strategy for SoilLogia’s biochar products and carbon credit initiatives.
- Build and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to drive adoption among farmers, corporations, and sustainability stakeholders.
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with carbon credit marketplaces, agricultural networks, and sustainability organizations.
- Oversee brand positioning, product messaging, and digital marketing efforts to establish SoilLogia as a leader in sustainable agriculture.
- Drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, and business development across biochar sales and carbon credit markets.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in carbon sequestration, regenerative agriculture, and climate finance, ensuring SoilLogia’s competitive advantage.
- Work closely with the CEO and leadership team to align business growth with sustainability goals.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Proven track record in marketing, sales, or business development, ideally in agriculture, carbon credits, or sustainability sectors.
- Strong understanding of carbon markets, carbon credit trading, and environmental sustainability.
- Experience building strategic partnerships and securing B2B or B2C sales growth.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in biochar, regenerative agriculture, or carbon sequestration projects.
- Established network in carbon credit marketplaces, agri-tech, or sustainability organizations.
- Previous experience in scaling early-stage startups and securing investor interest.
Compensation
This is an equity-based role, with compensation structured as company ownership. Additional terms, including potential revenue-sharing or performance-based incentives, will be discussed during the interview process.
