We’re recruiting: Volunteer Grant Writers!
Are you a passionate grant writer looking for your next opportunity to utilize your skills?
We are seeking skilled professionals to help us secure funding for impactful projects that make a difference across Africa, Cameroon in particular.
AVAF is an environmental and conservation-based organization which ensures that Africa’s forests, water, air, and soils are sustainably managed and conserved for future generations.
As a grant writer, you will:
- Write proposals which will be used to seek funds from donors.
- Research grants, create, and submit applications to secure funding for our community projects.
- Maintain good relationships with previous funders while identifying new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities for our projects and initiatives.
- Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals to foundations, government agencies, and other funding organizations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary data and information for proposals.
- Track deadlines and ensure timely submission of proposals.
- Maintain a record of successful proposals and reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Management, English, Law, Communication, Journalism, Sales and Marketing, or any related course.
- Proven experience as a grant writer with a successful track record.
- Strong research skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
