Role Overview
Creshendo is seeking a Grant Writer & Researcher to assist in identifying funding opportunities and drafting compelling grant proposals. This individual will support the Grant Director by researching potential funders, compiling background information, and contributing to well-structured proposals.
The ideal candidate has strong writing and research skills, attention to detail, and an interest in nonprofit funding.While experience in grant writing is preferred, training and guidance will be provided for those eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Grant Research: Identify new funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and international funders.
- Proposal Support: Assist in drafting grant applications and compiling necessary materials.
- Data & Funding Analysis: Gather relevant statistics, reports, and success stories to strengthen proposals.
- Fundraising Strategy Contribution: Work with the Grant Director to ensure applications align with Creshendo’s mission and priorities.
- Tracking & Documentation: Maintain organized records of grant deadlines, submission requirements, and application progress.
Qualifications
- Strong writing and research skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex information into compelling narratives.
- Experience in grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit research (preferred but not required).
- Interest in nonprofit development and funding strategies.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
- Availability to dedicate at least 5-8 hours per week.
