- Design and develop progressive dies for metal stamping processes using CATIA software.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure designs meet manufacturing requirements and client specifications.
- Conduct feasibility studies, material flow analyses, and ensure proper die functionality.
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of tooling components and assemblies.
- Optimize die designs for cost, quality, and manufacturability while adhering to project timelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to die design and implementation.
- Maintain design documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of progressive die design experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced expertise in CATIA for 3D modeling and design.
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of metal stamping processes, material properties, and tool steel selection.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Experience with sheet metal forming and secondary operations.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
