Job Description
At a large Media Company, the Consumer Technology team is seeking a Senior Android TV/Fire TV Developer who possesses a passion for pushing OTT technologies to the limits. They will work with a team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of
the company's flagship OTT applications. The team offers a unique opportunity to be part of a passionate, collaborative professional team building applications used by millions of users daily. The responsibilities of this role include design, develop and test the flagship OTT applications including Android TV and Fire TV, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, scope, and ship new features. This role will also involve collaboration with the backend services teams to design and integrate APIs that drive our app. Another function of this role is aiding UX in promoting best practices in Android design and user experience and following engineering best practices by ensuring unit-test coverage and working with QA on test automations.

Skills and Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.
Demonstrated ability in developing complex, high-traffic Android OTT
applications.
Experience with and solid understanding of multithreaded programming and
API layer programming and MVVM.
Experience working on a significant consumer app that is currently available in
marketplace.
Comfortable working with Git, Jenkins and Jira.
Solid Coding practices including good design, unit testing, peer code reviews and a
preference for agile methods.
Solid understanding of HTTP, REST-style and GraphQL web services Working knowledge of building modular SDKs and Fire OS development is a
plus.
Experience using GraphQL is a plus.
Experience building subscription models is a plus.
