Overview
The Marketing Assistant will provide administrative and clerical support to the Marketing & Creative Manager by working in close collaboration to assist in the planning, executing, and tracking analytics for online and offline marketing activities. This position also plays a vital role in our vendor relations, including campaign plans and performance tracking.
In-Office or Hybrid Role: Hybrid = 3 days a week in office & 2 days remote. Hours: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
Located across from the Chester County Airport in Coatesville, PA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Campaign Initiatives:
- Collaborate with and support the Marketing Associates with multi-channel marketing campaigns including email, social media, website optimization, and content marketing.
- Assist in checking links and creative when email tests are sent out.
- Continuously improve marketing processes for tasking, tracking, and execution of campaigns.
- Collaborate with the design team to create compelling visuals and with the content team to develop engaging copy.
- Contribute to the development of high-quality content for various platforms, including blog posts, newsletters, social media updates, and website copy.
- Ensure content aligns with brand voice and messaging.
- Analyzing Analytics:
- Work with the Marketing Associates to report on Google Analytics and other reporting tools to gather, analyze, and report campaign metrics for all marketing initiatives- including daily/weekly/yearly numbers, emails, website banners, and campaigns.
- Measure success and effectiveness of marketing campaigns set up with vendors.
- Keep organized records of marketing metrics and results of past campaigns.
- Monitor vendors' websites for proper listing of WPSG brands.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, HubSpot, and other marketing software.
- Prepare regular reports on campaign effectiveness and ROI, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Website Optimization:
- Optimize website content for search engines to improve organic search rankings.
- Manage paid search campaigns to drive targeted traffic and conversions.
- Travel up to 10% for meetings or vendor shows when requested.
- Complete additional assignment as assigned by management team.
- Market Research:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive analysis.
- Use insights to inform marketing strategies and tactics.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with merchandising and marketing teams to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment with business goals.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to drive growth.
- Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Report on daily web numbers, campaigns, and anything else that the marketing department might need reported.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Associates degree with courses in business administration, marketing, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two years of marketing, branding, promotions experience.
- Excellent writing, interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Must have proficient skills in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of Google Analytics or other quantitative analytics packages
- Ability to create spreadsheets, manipulate data, implement basic formulas, sort, and format.
- Must be enthusiastic, attentive to details, creative thinker, self-motivated, proactive, and always maintain a professional demeanor.
- Must have excellent time management and multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet critical deadlines.
- Ability to change priorities quickly as needed; ability to independently handle stress and maintain a mature problem-solving demeanor.
- Ability and desire to efficiently work in a team environment as well as the ability to work independently and proceed with objectives without constant supervision.
