OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY
Fox TV Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations across the U.S., including stations in 14 of the top 15 DMAs and duopolies in 11 DMAs, such as New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. They distribute sports, entertainment, and syndicated content, and produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news weekly, leveraging viewer, distributor, and advertiser demand for FOX Network’s content.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are hiring a Producer/Planner for LiveNOW, FOX TV Stations’ national live streaming news product based in the east coast newsroom at FOX 35 Orlando. LiveNOW delivers relevant, engaging, real-time news coverage with limited commentary and no opinion, moving seamlessly between major stories as they unfold.
The Producer/Planner will report to the Executive Producer, responsible for researching, planning, booking live guests, curating, and producing content for breaking news and significant events. The role requires a detail-oriented, tech-savvy journalist who thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment and is adept at managing multiple tasks and building professional relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Research, gather, and produce timely original content for digital, social, streaming, and broadcast platforms.
- Coordinate with FOX O&O stations and partners for live feeds, interviews, and reporter hits.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts in each station.
- Monitor live feeds, social media, and news tools for current information.
- Update the editorial calendar for future planning.
- Pitch story ideas and stay informed on current events.
- Monitor real-time analytics and adhere to journalistic standards.
- Fill in for Digital Journalists when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in news content production preferred.
- BA/BS degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of digital news production, live streaming, and video publishing.
- Excellent news judgment, organizational, and attention to detail skills.
- Proficiency with digital newsgathering tools and social media.
- Ability to work under pressure, with strong communication skills.
- On-camera experience is a plus.
- Flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Compensation and Benefits:
The pay range for this role is $70,000-$75,000 annually, depending on education, skills, and experience. Benefits include medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more. Benefits for union employees will follow applicable collective bargaining agreements.
