Job Summary:
The Music Coordinator provides administrative support to the EVP, Head of Music at 20th Century Studios. Candidates with a highly organized, detail-oriented background who possess excellent written and verbal communication skills are encouraged to apply. An enthusiastic multi-tasker is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support for the Music Executive.
- Manage a dynamic daily and weekly schedule.
- Create and maintain a daily/weekly to-do log.
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls/logs.
- Set up multiple daily meetings with filmmakers and executives.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel for the Executive.
- Prepare and approve expense reports promptly.
- Manage the script library, production/post schedules, and crew sheets for all films across two divisions.
- Oversee weekly music status agendas.
- Provide weekly music briefs on new releases and cultural trends in film/TV.
- Maintain the Composer Disco Library and temp music library.
- Soundtrack coordination with Disney Music Group.
- Proficiency in all music sharing software and DSPs (Spotify/Apple/DISCO) is required.
- Experience in music clearance is a plus.
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a talent agency, film, or TV studio.
- Basic understanding of film music.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to take initiative, be resourceful, flexible, and self-motivated.
- Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through on projects.
- Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong research and development skills.
- Proficiency in Mac applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Expertise in importing/exporting music in all share formats.
- Knowledge of Pro Tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with the history and slate of 20th Century Studios and Searchlight Pictures is a plus.
- Expected to work 4 days in the office and mirror the EVP’s schedule for the most part with flexibility.
Compensation:
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $52,300.00 to $67,600.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
