The Studio Ultimates team consolidates ultimates and manages APR expenses for Disney, Lucasfilm, Marvel, 20th Century, Searchlight, Pixar, and Walt Disney Animation films.
We seek a Senior Financial Analyst to review and consolidate ultimates, model participations and residuals, and forecast and account for all Studio APR expenses. This role offers collaboration with finance partners across various business lines (theatrical, home entertainment, music, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Consolidate and analyze 10-year P&L projections for each Studio film, ensuring compliance with FASB ASC 926, focusing on management reporting and accuracy of participations and residuals estimates.
- Calculate participation and residual cost models based on contractual deal points with key talent and co-producing studios.
- Generate amortization, participation, and residual (APR) rates for quarterly APR expense calculations and forecasts.
- Prepare and review PwC/SOX schedules for quarterly audits.
- Prepare and review quarterly tax reporting requirements.
- Develop film impairment models in accordance with FASB ASC 926.
- Provide ad-hoc reports to support senior management and business partners.
Attributes:
- Analysis: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to identify issues and causes of change.
- Systems: Proficiency in Excel required; experience with SAP/Cognos/ERP preferred; SQL skills a plus.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration across teams.
- Multi-tasking: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience.
- CPA or CPA candidate is a plus.
- Experience in the entertainment industry preferred.
The salary range in Burbank, CA, is $103,400 to $126,200 annually. Compensation includes base pay, potential bonuses, long-term incentives, and comprehensive benefits.
