CNN is seeking a creative and collaborative journalist to join our newly formed Editorial Product Strategy team. This team serves as a vital bridge between the product teams and the newsroom, working at the intersection of journalism and technology. In a period of rapid growth and transformation, this team will combine the needs of our editorial teams with the insights of product developers to drive innovative digital storytelling and enhance newsroom efficiency. Responsibilities include designing, executing, and analyzing tests on emerging products and tools; building and maintaining relationships across newsroom, product, and transformation teams; tracking product roadmaps and assisting with messaging between newsroom and product teams; liaising with the transformation team to develop training materials; assisting with rollout of new tools and systems; partnering with analytics to identify wins and deepen audience engagement; tracking performance of initiatives; and identifying opportunities to improve editorial operations with product solutions. Qualifications include at least 3 years of news experience, a college degree or equivalent industry experience, strong editorial judgment and innovative storytelling skills, multimedia production experience, strong writing and communication skills, experience with audience growth and analytics preferred, and a self-starter attitude with passion for collaboration and innovation.
