Client in Wilmington, DE seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler System Design Trainee to join their team!
Full-Time
Temp-to-Hire Position
The client has been providing fire sprinkler installations and service throughout Central Pennsylvania, Delaware, Northern Maryland and Eastern NJ since 1977. They participate in: from-the-ground-up new construction builds, existing facility add-on's, and servicing and inspecting customer fire sprinkler systems. 100% EMPLOYEE-OWNED company, dedicated to serving their employees and communities they serve.
Key Responsibilities:
Basic architectural drafting and layout in AutoCAD. Design drafting for automatic sprinkler systems. Assist design team with gathering submittal information and create foreman packets. Complete as-built drawings and project close-out documentation. Learn and understand NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards. Qualifications:
AutoCAD 2D. Knowledge of blueprinting. Knowledge of building construction. Knowledge of building mechanical systems. Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Good communication skills. Willingness to learn new skills relating to fire protection. Work alongside other departments: design manager, design staff, construction department, project managers. Preferred Qualifications:
Drafting or design courses completed. Salary and Benefits:
$18.50/Hr. - $23/Hr. Medical, Dental, Vision, Short Term Disability, Life Insurance, AD&D Insurance, Personal Health Care Advocate, EAP, 401k, Paid Time Off, Employee Stock Ownership Plan, Apprenticeship programs through the American Fire Sprinkler Association. Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:30am-4pm.
